Maria M. Rivera-Ortiz, Esq.
Attorney Rivera-Ortiz's practice concentrates in Probate and Family Law, including children and juveniles, immigration, criminal defense and Residential Real Estate. She is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, she was employed by the Legal Assistance Corporation of central MA [LACCM] as a Staff Attorney in the Family Law Unit, representing low-income victims of domestic violence in their family law matters, including divorce, paternity, guardianships and restraining order hearings. Prior to her work with LACCM, Attorney Rivera-Ortiz was employed by the Worcester County District Attorney as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting primarily domestic violence cases, in addition to other misdemeanors and felonies. Attorney Rivera-Ortiz was certified by the Committee for Public Counsel Services to work as a public defender in the District and Juvenile Courts in Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School. Attorney Rivera-Ortiz is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
